refreshing

It has been such a long time since I have had regular sessions coming. It was such a pleasure to take pictures of these two beautiful girls. It made me realize again just how much I love having a studio and doing sessions. Now if I could just a get some newborn sessions, I'd have my full fix for the time being. Enjoy your beautiful girls Amanda : )

Just posting to let everyone know I only have room for one more session before the end of the year. Email me if interested : )

I am ALIVE!!!

It has been quite the past few months with moving, etc. I don't have my studio up as of this moment, but I will very shortly. My family and I will be out of town for a couple weeks for the Thanksgiving holiday, but I will be doing a few sessions when we get back (so the first of December). Let me know if anyone is interested. I'll only be doing a few sessions before the holidays.

Brynlee

I am so excited to show these pictures to Brynlee's mom. Most people leave my studio wondering if we got anything good (at least with the older babies and toddlers that decide to do their own thing). I hope that when the pictures come back they are pleasantly surprised at the fun shots we actually got. And though she is not smiling in these particular pictures, I promise we got some Whitley : )
Enjoy : )

Duncan

I was a little nervous when one of the first things Duncan's parents told me was he was a light sleeper. And while we did spend our fair share of soothing, it turned out great. Lots of love in this cute little family.

Shayley and Maile

I love this cute family. Darling girls, sweet mother and a father who obviously treats all three of his girl's like princesses : ) Shayley fought sleep, but in the meantime we got some cute ones of her older sister. Then like magic, Shayley melted in Daddy's arms and it was a great session.
Enjoy : )

Lucas

I am just trying to plug through my editing, so I'll make this short.
I think the Caucasian/Asian combo have the cutest babies!

Pause

So, I feel a little like I am missing in action. It's been way too long since my last post.
I have a ton of sessions I am getting to and will post more soon. This is a pic of my darling niece. Gorgeous. Enough said.

I do have an important update to post though.
We just sold our home (hooray!) and I will not be taking appointments for studio work until we are settled into our next home. I have no idea how long it will take, so I'll keep you posted.
I will still be available to do 0n-location session, but in a very limited way (Maybe only two or three a month). So stay tuned. I am excited for a new and improved studio with some actual space : ) Now I need to get packing.

nohea

It was fun to see how much Nohea has grown since I first met her as a newborn. It was hard to crack a smile, but I promise we got some, Tanei. Nohea is such a cutie. Love the big, brown almond eyes.

Keira

Ooooo. . . love the name. Keira is proof that you can still get some great shots at 4 weeks old. Not that I would recommend it, but if you just found your dream photographer (hopefully me: ) and missed those first few days, pictures are still possible : )
Darling little girl, Heather!

Jack

So, I still haven't figured out how to get these pictures bigger on my postings. I also hate to do extra steps in posting - so I'll just leave it alone for now until it drives me totally crazy and I finally get a customized blog.
Anyway, here is darling boy Jack. I so enjoyed meeting and working with his mother. Isn't she so gorgeous? I love the cute little hat. And to fully appreciate the last picture click on it to see it larger. So cute. I love, love newborn babies.

Look at this dark-haired beauty. Julia's mom is one of my dear friends. I am so happy for her new addition to the family. Julia is blessed to have such a sweet and loving mother!

Worth Every Mile

I loved every minute I spent with my sister and her new baby boy. How precious are these?
Getting out of my studio and working with natural light has been such a fun experience. My on location sessions apply to newborns as well : ) Thanks for letting us visit Jess! Love ya!

comments

Since there is an unwritten law for a photographer to make a post without a picture - here is my son's 3 year picture. Isn't he going to be a heartbreaker?
But now to my real reason for posting. . .
I was inspired by another photographer to make it a goal to make a comment in response to comments given (see my post just before this one if that doesn't make sense).
I just like the personal-ness of that. I'll do that for now (while I can - cause you know someday I'll have 40 comments per post . . . LOL). It'll be fun : )

PS. I am not happy with blogger right now - my uploaded pictures look funky to me and I don't know why.

Brantley

I am dying over all these cut newborns lately. I honestly wish I could have pictures of my babies like these. I hope mom loves them as much as I do. I love it when I get a chance to capture a smile. Isn't it darling? And the last picture was a new attempt. Not terrible for a first try. Hopefully, I'll just get better at it.

Grant

It was so fun to meet this little boy. He did such a great job and we got some fun pictures. I love the new basket I found in Park City. The texture is so fun. I have been doing newborns a lot lately and am loving every minute of it.

One more thing . . . I need a newborn model to try out a new lens I am thinking about buying. I also want to try some new poses for fun. If you know anyone who has a baby 1-6 days old today, have them contact me about doing a complimentary session. I'd like to do them sometime this week : )

Malina

Yesterday evening, my husband took my three boys to a work obligation. Two hours free? What else would I do but try and get some pictures. I called up one of my friends and we went out for a bit to get some pictures. What a good sport you are Jess! Sadly, the clouds darkened, laughing at my attempt. We shot for 5 minutes and then it started raining. Bummer. But, this darling picture came from it. She was looking up at mom and dad at the time. I love the innocence, hope and trust in her eyes. I adore it.

Christian

I can't begin to explain how much I love photographing newborns. It is such a sweet phase to capture. It honestly make me so happy to see these pictures. I hope mom and dad love them just as much. This little sweetie was just a week old. He is nice and healthy - love the squishy checks and lips : )

Braxton

This little one was 4 weeks old when his mom finally found the photographer of her dreams (ha! just kidding). Little Braxton fussed a bit, but was perfectly content once he got into Daddy's arms. It was so cute to see. Oh, and I might mention that his mommy is cousin to one of my old neighbors (who is one of my favorite people in the world), so I loved her immediately. And after interacting with her for just a bit I saw that Braxton's mommy was just as cool. Must be a great family they come from.
